Recently, Maxwell’s independently developed perovskite/silicon heterojunction tandem solar cell has achieved a 32.5% certified photoelectric conversion efficiency, validated by Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (Fraunhofer ISE), Germany.
Fabricated on industrial-grade 110 μm-thick silicon wafer using Maxwell’s proprietary mass-producible equipment and processes, the cell combines state-of-the-art technology with industrial scalability. Maxwell’s team has further boosted efficiency by optimizing perovskite passivation and innovating low-damage TCO materials and supporting processes.
From 32.38% to 32.5% in just two months, Maxwell has set a new industry milestone for commercial-size tandem cells, demonstrating its fast and consistent R&D capabilities. The Company remains committed to advancing along the dual tracks of scalable industrialization and cutting-edge research, never resting on past achievements and always aiming for the next technological peak.
